Before you book
Tell us where the spiders and webs are
You do not need to name the species before calling. Describe the spider, where you saw it and whether you are also seeing webs or repeat sightings.
A photo can help if it can be taken from a safe distance. Do not approach, capture, handle or disturb a spider just to get a closer image.
Wait for our preparation instructions before clearing webs or moving stored items. Tell us about anything you have already sprayed, moved or cleaned.
Most spider bites cause local irritation, but some Australian spiders can cause serious harm. Do not handle a spider. Call Triple Zero (000) for a suspected funnel-web or other big black spider bite. Treatment can reduce spider activity, but it cannot promise a permanently spider-free property, especially outdoors.
What to tell us
- Where you are seeing spiders or webs.
- Whether the problem is indoors, outside, in storage or around the roofline.
- How often they appear and whether webs keep returning.
- Any photo taken without moving closer.
- Any sprays, cleaning or pest control already tried.
