Essentially a Pest Inspection Report is designed to:
Detect old damage and active termites or borers.The Report gives you information on reducing the chances of termite infestation.Gives us enough information to accurately quote you on a termite treatment.Most importantly, the report is designed to educate you.The inspection will determine the extent of the infestation where the termites are entering the building and also what steps need to be carried out to eradicate any termites present and protect your home & building from further attack.
A termite inspection is a visual inspection only, carried out by a qualified and experienced technician.
An Inspections cover the following:
The readily accessible areas of the building and the site including:
- The home interior
- home exterior
- roof space (pending access)
- subfloor space (if app)
- the grounds inc fences and trees within the property up to a distance of 50 meters from the home.
A written report for your perusal will be given on completion of the inspection and termite treatment recommendations will be proposed if and where necessary in accordance with the Australian Standards (AS 3660).
It is important to note that the Australian Standards (AS3660) recommend a termite inspection be carried out to your property every 3-6 months and as our duty of care we forward reminder letters to our customers at regular intervals.Standard Termite Inspections: These are suited to the home owner, many new homes are covered with a warranty "Provided that the home has had annual termite inspections".Regular Termite Inspections: (at least every 12 months) are very important, this provides you with the best chance of detecting Termite activity before any or much damage in done.
